MERKUR HELPER Data Protection Declaration

Area of application
This Data Protection Declaration provides users of the MERKUR HELPER app with clarification of the type, scope and purpose of the collection and use of personal data by the responsible provider [adp MERKUR GmbH, Merkur-Allee 1-15, 32339 Espelkamp, Germany, adpmerkurservice@gauselmann.de] in this app.

The legal foundations of data protection can be found in the Bundesdatenschutzgesetz [German federal data protection act] (BDSG) and the Telemediengesetz [German telemedia act] (TMG).

The app may be used without entering personal data. Different regulations may apply to the use of individual services of the app, in which case a separate explanation will follow below. Your personal data (username, email and customer number) will only be processed by us in accordance with the provisions of German data protection law and it is available to us through your registration for our Internet portal (www.adp-MERKUR.de).

Despite all the security measures that have been carefully taken, we point out that an Internet-based data transmission may generally have security vulnerabilities. A complete protection against access by third parties can therefore not be completely excluded.

Registration data
In order to ensure that information which is only accessible to adp MERKUR GmbH customers is protected, registration for the adp Internet portal (www.adp-MERKUR.de) is required for full use of the app. This user data (username, email and customer number) will be transmitted to us and stored for further use within the app. For a new registration via the app, this data, in addition to further information such as address, company name and telephone number, is also collected and compared with our customer master data. It will be checked to see whether a joint business relationship exists and, if so, the registration details will be provided. A transfer of any data mentioned in this section to third parties does not occur.

Device information
In order to send you the latest information via push notification, we will save your mobile device's IMEI number if you have agreed to the push function upon first starting the app. Push notifications regarding new content will be sent to your device using the IMEI number and your access data. Storage of this data takes place as long as you are logged into the app. Logging out leads to the deletion of the data. This data is not passed on to third parties.

Activation code
Generated activation codes are stored by specifying the user name and the assigned customer number. This is for the purpose of optimised communication in clarification case processing and possibly the activation of device runtimes. For further details, please refer to the General Terms and Conditions of MFL (subsidiary of adp MERKUR GmbH).

Contact
When contacting adp MERKUR GmbH (via email), the user's details are stored for the purpose of processing the request as well as for the event that any follow-up questions arise.

Location information
In the 'Contact/Directions' function, you have the option of displaying the contact information and location data of our branches displayed to you on your mobile phone based on your current position. This function uses the GPS data of your device. A transfer to us and storage of this data does not occur.

Information / Revocation / Erasure
On the basis of the Bundesdatenschutzgesetz, you may contact us free of charge with any questions regarding the collection, processing or use of your personal data and its rectification, blocking, erasure or revocation of a given consent. We point out that you have a right to the rectification of false data or the erasure of personal data, provided that no statutory storage requirement precludes this claim.
